Alex and Alyssa had such a fun first birthday party. They were spoiled with tons of gifts (thank you everyone) and family to help celebrate, and Grandma Debbie made them the cutest cakes. But first, we have to take a look back...what a crazy year.

Happy birthday Babies!! I have been waitin for these pictures. Congrats Kris hard to believe they are 1 already can't wait to see them Love Aunt Gaye
~Luke has asked everyday "can we go to the twins house and play with the race track that we got Alex, cause I never got to play with it". So we need to get together one of these evenings and swim (if it’s nice) and hang out. ~I have loved watching them grow and get so much personality this last year. It has been a great year and I can't wait for all the more changes they will make this next year. Happy Birthday Babies. We love you!!!
So fun! I cant believe they are one already. Sorry we missed out on the party! we got the invitation too late, thanks for inviting us though! Love you guys!
I'm sad every time they leave to go home. They are at that amazing stage of showing us all their new tricks. Walking.. talking.. sharing.. teasing each other. I love watching them interact with their cousins and can't help but feel so blessed to have you all so close. What lucky little babies to have so much love and attention. What a lucky family to have them bless our lives.
November 7th, 2010 Today Alex found a random fruit snack on/under/near the couch, and popped it in his mouth. Once he realized Alyssa had seen, he took what was left out of his mouth and offered it to her, saying "I share". Luckily I was witnessing this and stopped the transaction just in time. What a sweet boy though.
November 5th, 2010 Alyssa was mad at Alex after he refused to do what she wanted, so with angry eyebrows she said "Fine! Don't something, something! Monkey-head!" It was so funny. I have to take the blame for all of it (except for the words I couldn't decipher).
January 27th, 2011 Conversation between me and Alex on the drive home from work.
Alex: Mom, I want to see Lukey.
Me: No tonight.
Alex: Mom, I want to see Gracie.
Me: Not tonight.
Alex: Mom, I want to see baby Pooker (Cooper)
Me: Not tonight.
Alex: Mom, I want to see Santa.
Me: Who?
Alex: Santa
Me: Do you mean Sandy?
Alex: Yes, I want to see Sandy.
January 31st, 2011 Alyssa's version of Patty Cake:
Maddie Cake, Maddie Cake, Bakers man, bake me a cake as fast as you can, roll-it, roll-it, mark it with a B and throw it in the oven for Maddie and me. I can not convince her that it isn't Maddie Cake (she has a cousin baby Maddie cakes).
